Download all the Mandrake KDE packages from ftp.kde.org and get libpcre
from a Mandrake mirror's contribs directory (not the contribs in
mandrake-devel, that's for Cooker).  That's what I did and it's working
great.  Just don't use the Mega-Gradient scheme, it's buggy again (they
had it fixed on Cooker I think).
