I have been confused in trying to install xmms and bluefish.

I have ximian gnome gui and I have installed gimp and abiword. These programs work fine.

But when I try to configure xmms or bluefish it looks for gtk-config in /etc/gtk.

My gtk-config is installed in /usr/bin


I have tried to declare it's location with:

./configure --with-gtk-prefix=./usr/bin     
or
./configure --with-gtk-exec-prefix=./usr/bin

But no luck. Can anyone provide me with some direction

I'm new to linux so be gentle
