Bob, I think I got connected with an empty dhclient.conf, but right now I have only: send dhcp-lease-time 86400; because the default requested lease time is 2 hours, and I didn't really want to request 2 hours in case the server was kind enough to comply! Right now I am getting 12 hour leases. Also I have had the same IP since I first brought it up on Saturday. I already had OpenBSD installed but was using it as a bridge, not a firewall. So I'm not sure about your install questions. I didn't add any arguments to ifconfig, just changed hostname.ne1 to contain "dhcp". I don't see any way of spoofing a MAC address like dhcpcd does. I didn't have problems but I was also registered for 3 IPs through Cox and had only used 2 of them so far since the conversion, so that might be it. (Yes, I'm about to get rid of the silly extra ips :) ) Lisa On Wed, 2002-02-13 at 23:10, bob smith wrote: > > --- Lisa Winkler wrote: > > Bob, > > > > The conversion kit is useless.
