This can be very hard to gauge. I have found people who will do the same quality work and one will charge 40/hr and the other 120/hr. I wouldn't necessarily look at the price, rather the type of relationship you can build with this person/company. This I have found is the most important aspect of consulting from my experience. Ask yourself this question, what if the consultant you find does excellent work, charges only $40/hr, but has an attitude that is unbearable to say the least? Is it still worth it? -- John Albee Active Computing, Inc. 602.448.4528 John@aciaz.com -----Original Message----- From: plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us [mailto:plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us]On Behalf Of Vaiod Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2002 2:30 PM To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Subject: Consulting Fees What is the going rate for general IT consultation work. Duties would include the very basics and could include major work such as installing/configuring new hardware/software systems. Just a general reasonable hourly rate is kind of what I am looking for.
