What I used was Smartripper to get the VOB files off of the DVD. Then, I used DVD2AVI to make the audio and avi files. Then I used Nandub to put the audio and video files together. I had some issues getting the audio too, until I figured out that the program I was using (DVD2AVI) was just making two seperate files. Nandub interleaves the audio into the avi file. The MPlayer option for Linux that Codie mentioned: | Actually, MPlayer includes mencoder which can make DiVX movies very | fast. I can get a three pass (audio, video pass-1, video pass-2) DiVX 4 | movies done in about 4.5 hours without copying from the DVD. It builds | the movies directly from the DVD in the player. | You can make movies in any format mplayer can view. Works good on | Windows Media Player too although it doesn't like Variable BitRate files | too much... | | | | --codie Looks like it would be the best option for both of us. I'm going to have to try that the next time I get a little time to play. On Sunday, May 05, 2002 1:50 am, George Toft wrote: |Hi Jeff, | |Windows works for me.
