Thanks to those who responded on the question of
PostgreSQL versus MySQL. I was not aware that
PostgreSQL was as fully developed as it is.

As it happens, the application we have in mind is
actually fairly simple, so either one is adequate, and
since the people I'm working with favor PostgreSQL, and
it's already available on their systems, that's what it
will be. That's great, because I get to learn something
new I can add to my resumé!
