Current AOL clients do not function on linux under wine or codeweavers wine.
This is well documented on the codeweavers app database page.  I've tried it
a few times to coax people off of windows and never been successful.
After install the setup program trys to do a few things with networking and
blows chunks.
I'm sure it won't be this way for long though - give the pace of wine
development.
