Choose to manually partition and = create a ext2 partition…. It appears there is already a FAT partition on = the drive, which you need to delete before creating you ext2 partition. What = distro are you using?

My actual problem is in trying to partition = the HD. I run the auto partition mode and it gives me this message: Could not = allocate requested partitions: partitioning failed: could not allocate = partitions. Then it shows me this:
/dev/hda &n= bsp; start end size = type mount point
/dev/hda1 1 1022 2012 = vfat
free = space 1023 1023 1M free space
I am installing this on an old Packard Bell = 133 Pent. with 32 Meg of RAM and a 2 Gig H/D. I intend to set this up as a router = in my LAN and to be the firewall to my cable modem. Any help would be appreciated. Cliff
