Until I setup my own proxy at home so I could surf un-supervised I remember having to re-authenticate about every 5 minutes or so. That was a pain in the ***. If this is what he means, yes it is true. Bordermanager had a time out set, so I eventually complained and they changed the timeout period to 10 minutes, then it wasn't so bad.
