It will run many Windows programs. I don't know about quickbooks. But, you call also buy a closed source version of WINE from a company called Codeweavers, and they will guarantee that it will run Office and Quicken (I realize that's not Quickbooks, but they should be close) for $50 US. You should probably try the free version first though. As far as Quickbooks for Linux, I don't know of an application that has as much of the business focus as Quickbooks. GnuCash has promised alot of it in their next version, but I haven't seen any timeline on that yet.
