In addition to the X Fonts you need the
gsfonts[x].tar.gz package with a link pointing to the
proper directory hierarchy in the ghostscript config
file.

ftp://mirror.cs.wisc.edu/pub/mirrors/ghost/gnu/ 

I have a CD of all the necessary NetBSD packages for
the full ghostscript/ghostview install if anyone is
interested.
