What flavor/version of Linux are you running? Are you running a dual 
boot?  I run Mandrake 8.2 and am having no problems. Have you  run 
ifconfig  and dig? What results did you get?

Last resort- where are you? I would gladly see if I can get you up  and 
running if I can (no guarantees.)
