Because of Redhat's intention not to make major changes within a particular series... 7.x etc., their 7.0 version was rather interesting because it was a 2.2 kernel and the rest of the 7.x releases were all 2.4 kernel. They had geared 7.0 all along to be 2.4 kernel so it had to be difficult setting things up while waiting for the 2.4 kernel to go stable. Craig
