Then it occurs to me that on a 4 gigabyte disk Approximately 4,000,000,000 / 32767 (sectors) would probably give me 64,000 bytes per sector and 64,000 / 16 (blocks) would give me 4000 bytes per block. Wouldn't it be most economical (theoretically faster) to have the bs=4096 ? Craig
