It has two identical NIC's installed. I use it as a = gateway/router for my LAN. Today I suffered a power outage and when my = box rebooted it would not allow me access to the Internet. when I = checked the config file for the NIC settings it shows the same IRQ and = I/O addresses for each one. I have a couple questions: 1. For a box with *nix installed and is rebooted, and it doesn't matter = whether it was a power loss or a normal shutdown, is it normal for it to = lose the configuration settings for a NIC? Is there someway I can fix = this so that the settings are permanent? 2. At the next Installfest what would I need to bring with me so that I = can have someone help me verify all my settings? I would like to use = this as a router and web server so that I can park some web pages on it. Anyway, I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions you may have. = Thanks, Cliff ------=_NextPart_000_008F_01C2DD88.D492DAC0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
