More info please.

Has this system/combination of pieces ever successfully had Linux running?  I got that very error message, using RH 7.3, that I tracked to a flakey hard drive.

When in the install is the error being produced?

What is the full specs on the computer?

Have you already started swapping hardware pieces to eliminate a hardware issue?

my / directory is 5 gig

boot is the smallest at 150 MB
