I'm guessing if it is a real m= odem it will show up as such on the PCI bus=2E -I'm not home now so I can't give you the listing of pci stuff but going bac= k to another message I had answered: dmesg | grep tty ttyS00 at 0x03f8 (irq =3D 4) is a 16550 ttyS02 at 0x03e8 (irq =3D 4 ) is a 16550A ttyS04=20at port 0xec00 (irq=3D9) is a 16550A I hope that answers your question=2E :-)Mike(-:
