Okay buddy, I put each link into the system in succession=20
[ln -s /dev/ttyS4 /dev/modem
[ln -s /dev/ttyS2 /dev/modem
[ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/modem]
and none of them had  any effect=2E
I am now at another computer and took notice of "tell ppp where your modem i=
s located=2E Set it up so that it is always /dev/modem=2E"=20
Please, how do I do this?

Do they connect hardware to programs?=20

or

They must associate two parts of the system together
