What utility would that be?  I have the same feature on my laptop and
was wondering whether I would be able to hook it up to a projector
elsewhere.

Yeah, but if you haven't used your laptop with an external monitor, I'd
do that before you get there.  I found out at the last installfest that
my laptop needs a little utility to enable the external monitor port...
