Hey All, I bought a SONY VAIO PCG-FR130 not too long ago which uses the AMD XP-M processor with PowerNow. So far everything has worked great except I'm a little dissapointed with the performance of it on battery power. In Windows XP I was able to get within the 2.5-3.0 hour range but with Linux I only get about an hour and 50 minutes. I am using the 2.4.21rc1 kernel with ACPI all patched up. Is there something else I can be doing to extend the battery life? -- Slackware Linux - Find out about the 4S rule. www.slackware-advocacy.org/whyuse.html Then try it out for yourself. www.slackware.org
