Hmm, these Compaqs can sure be troublesome.  Are you saying X doesn't run?  
It ran find on the Presario I installed 9.1 on.  It's a pain, but maybe you 
need to experiment with the switches; you may not need them all.  I don't 
even know what "nomce" means, for example.
