These files are not too big either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- +OK ready list +OK 2 messages (429119) 1 426360 2 2759 . quit +OK prserv.net Connection closed by foreign host. mfever@myhost:~$ fetchmail ............................................................................ ============== SYSLOG =============== Jun 6 17:19:30 myhost fetchmail[22990]: reading message mfever@postoffice.ISP.net:1 of 2 (426360 octets) Jun 6 16:42:05 myhost fetchmail[22619]: socket error while fetching from pop.ISP.net Jun 6 16:42:05 myhost fetchmail[22619]: Query status=2 (SOCKET) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- My .fetchmailrc looks like this: set syslog poll mail.ISP.mail.com protocol pop3 username mfever password 11111111 mda /usr/bin/procmail fetchlimit 100 I get the above error even for email of size 100K.
