Also if I currently use 2.4.16-bf2.4 and I want to get a As it says at the beginning of the article, you need to get the sources. kernel-package is the tool for building a debian package of the kernel when you're done, but it does not contain kernel sources. apt-get install kernel-source-2.4.21 > kernel patch for writing UDF's but no kernel patches are listed there at > www.kernel.org for 2.4.18-bf2.4 where can I get the patch from also if I > just want to do a menuconfig to enable UDF writing do I need to download > the 2.4.18bf2.4 kernel source? The source package from debian should have a config file. If not install a binary kernel-package, then copy the config file from it. cp -p /boot/config-2.4.21- /usr/src/linux/.config Once you've done that you might be able to just edit /usr/src/linux/.config to turn on UDF support, then follow the make process for the kernel-package tools. > http://www.linmagau.org/modules.php?op=3Dmodload&name=3DSections&file=3Di= ndex&re > q=3Dviewarticle&artid=3D158 ciao, der.hans --=20 # https://www.LuftHans.com/ http://www.AZOTO.org/ # "Life is pain, Highness!
