For one, they would be e-mail headers in e-mail because there is no transaction with a web server. Secondly, the message, as it is sent from the list server, ends in: --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss It appears to me that you have turned on "Full Headers" in evolution (that info taken from those very headers). To fix this, and I don't quite remember how it's done back in 1.2.2 at which my suggestion is upgrade to 1.4, it's stable, is "View"->"Message Display"->"Normal Display". You will also see what option is currently chosen. --=20 Bryce C CoBryce Communications --=-4z4aQDbUrDnk9haR1XPf Content-Disposition: inline Content-Description: Forwarded message - Newbie asks about HTTP Header Content-Type: message/rfc822 Return-Path: Delivered-To: mail.bryceconet.plug@localhost.cobryce.com Received: from localhost (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by cobryce.myvnc.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 553FEAD58B for ; Sun, 10 Aug 2003 10:39:24 -0700 (MST) Envelope-to: plug@bryceco.net Delivery-date: Sun, 10 Aug 2003 13:34:13 -0400 Received: from 66.103.137.65 by localhost with POP3 (fetchmail-5.9.7) for mail.bryceconet.plug@localhost (single-drop); Sun, 10 Aug 2003 10:39:24 -0700 (MST) Received: from [68.14.243.59] (helo=pluglist.macrosift.com) by sh2.1-sh.com with esmtp (Exim 4.20) id 19lu57-0001eZ-Qu for plug@bryceco.net; Sun, 10 Aug 2003 13:34:13 -0400 Received: from lists.plug.phoenix.az.us (plug [127.0.0.1]) by pluglist.macrosift.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 798B31A72F0; Sun, 10 Aug 2003 10:48:04 -0700 (MST) Delivered-To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Received: from fed1mtao02.cox.net (fed1mtao02.cox.net [68.6.19.243]) by pluglist.macrosift.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id CFB301A72EC for ; Sun, 10 Aug 2003 10:47:50 -0700 (MST) Received: from ip68-2-233-152.ph.ph.cox.net ([68.2.233.152]) by fed1mtao02.cox.net (InterMail vM.5.01.04.05 201-253-122-122-105-20011231) with ESMTP id <20030810173359.NKWC7551.fed1mtao02.cox.net@ip68-2-233-152.ph.ph.cox.net> for ; Sun, 10 Aug 2003 13:33:59 -0400 Subject: Newbie asks about HTTP Header From: Craig Brooksby To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us In-Reply-To: <20030810135102.18844.55701.Mailman@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us> References: <20030810135102.18844.55701.Mailman@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us> Content-Type: text/plain Organization: Message-Id: <1060526065.4442.41.camel@ip68-2-233-152.ph.ph.cox.net> Mime-Version: 1.0 X-Mailer: Ximian Evolution 1.2.2 (1.2.2-5) Sender: plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Errors-To: plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us X-BeenThere: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.13 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: , List-Id: Main PLUG discussion list. Yes, as a matter of fact I *have* searched Google on "HTTP Header." May I ask my question now? :-)=20 Just wondering why so many mesages are followed by full HTTP Header info. Is it useful to readers of the message? It just seems like more text to plow through, to me. Should I turn on full HTTP Headers in my postings too? --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss --=-4z4aQDbUrDnk9haR1XPf-- --=-k7sKmGFza7iRPvtyh073 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQA/NoVA/wbq/C6yyPcRAmjoAJsGcvJiBwIA7+y+evphm5gUmoKnRgCglaH2 fMq8CS38NlGT3dzvXsGzFFc= =CYgJ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-k7sKmGFza7iRPvtyh073--
