I haven't bothered with the NWN linux install, though I heard it has
gotten better, though not with out it's pains. 

One of the reasons i haven't done the Linux install of NWN is that i
haven't got OpenGL working in my Debian box. It's a lack of time and
need.  I have a sneaky suspicion that the install instructions assume
that's working first, if they mention it at all.
