I am using a fw script created by fwbuilder on Debian sid, kernel 2.4.22
and when the the firewall is running the messages from /var/log/syslog
is displayed on the screen on all tty's to the point that the console
can not be used.


Ssh access into the firewall is the only way to access it.  I want to
configure the server so that the logs are sent to /var/log/syslog like
usual but not displayed on the screen.  What is the best way to do this?
