o.k., i will bring about 4 monitors (13" color) (one definately for alex 
g.) others avail. a hdd, a floppy, some cables, 2 nic cards (both isa). 
i can also bring 2 old cases (no power supply) if anyone wants them; i 
have used old cases in the past and just drilled new holes for the mobo. 
speak up if you want me to bring them, one is tall  , one is little like 
atx. if you want to pick them up b4 installfest so you can get your 
system in place in the next few weeks , let me know.  however, i am in 
the far west valley - bus comes here, but may take awhile.

 i have put together, or fixed up some old machines like you are doing 
for your friend, in the past. usually i get the basic machine at a 
goodwill (salvation army et) and put the add on's in that i want. (cd 
rw, more mem) usually cost $40-75) for the basic box. takes time driving 
around looking though.
i just put my 'new' redhat 9 machine together with 550mhx, 256 ram, 
cdrw, 120 hdd for....
($20 box, $15 ps,$0 ram, $50 cdrw, $70 hdd = $155)
