Hello, I just wanted to report on the results of using Rdesktop and ssh 
to connect to a Win 2k server.

My initial approach was to use pptp to connect to our linux box runnig 
poptop, as that is how the windows users are doing it.

It was suggested that instead I use ssh to tunnel into our lan and use 
port forwarding to access the win 2k box.

That is exactly what I did and the results are fantastic. I get better 
results, that is faster response times, less connectivity drops, using 
the open source tools and protocols under linux than using microsoft's 
own products and protocols running win XP pro.

Chalk one up for open source. Now if I could just get our CRM program to 
run under linux.
