Yeah I had a problem too - I ended up removing the open office packages
and then reinstalling them - very easy with yum/apt-get. I was curious
if the fact that I upgraded from shrike to fedora was the cause of my
problem. I also nuked my ~/.openoffice directory.

I haven't had a lick of trouble since.
