I had a chance to test your site on Linux. I didn't go looking for new 
browsers: I just used the ones that came with the default install. I 
consider myself a newbie when it comes to desktop Linux as well. I'm 
running Yellow Dog 3.0.1 in a pretty much default install. I didn't 
test anything in Linux but Real Media.

First I tried Mozilla. I never did get it to work. It asked me what I 
wanted to open the file with. I tried locate with various combinations 
of realmedia, realone, realaudio, etc and didn't find anything. There 
were some wierd files in KDE spaces that looked promising, though, so 
the search was frustrating. Then I tried yum but couldn't locate 
anything promising to install.

The  user experience sucked pretty hard.

Then I tried Konqueror and it was like night and day. It politely asked 
me I I would accept cookies from your site. Then when I clicked on the 
play link it brought up a nice hierarchal browse window with 
applications categorized by type. I was obvious that something called 
XMMS was the suggestion for audio streams and when I clicked on it it 
started playing the audio stream faultlessly.

I've seen a lot of praise for Mozilla here and elsewhere but for a 
newbie who knows just enough to frustrate  himself I have to say that 
Konq just worked. Mozilla pretty much sucked.
