re: -------- .... I tried to play around with Win 2000 once. They did not have support for the netgear FA311 Nic. Usually no problem, download the driver install it, yeah right this is windows we are talking about. .... -------- Can't argue with you there. I have Win2K on a removable drive and seem to recall a major pain installing it. Too many incompatibilities. Had to do it to get some debugging feature under MSVC6 to work correctly. I did experience the old internet driver hunt. And Win98 installs are pretty tedious (reboot 297 times: ready, begin.) Maybe I'm intimidated because setting up Samba, PHP, MySQL etc. for the first time was such a hassle. Now that I have the config files I guess it might be easier. Anyone know where I can get a cheap copy of RH9.x? I paid full price for RH8.0 and never used it because I heard major releases are bad. Its funny, saying anything bad about Linux in this group is a little like something by brother did years ago: he walked into his wife's tupperware party (living room full of women) and told the joke about the transvestite who had to have half his brain removed to complete his sex-change operation. They didn't see the humor in it. -- Phil Mattison Ohmikron Corp. 480-722-9595 ext.1 602-820-9452 Mobile
