Desktops yes (and I agree those are issues with GNU/Linux Desktops), but NOT servers. For example I believe many Windows games allow GNU/Linux to be a server even though there is no windows client. Multimedia streaming has has been available for sometime on GNU/Linux and at the highest level animation and sound pros have been using GNU/Linux. I wont gripe too hard. It's cool to see efforts made to do regular polls and post them here.
