They are also both showing up in /etc/fstab. What concerns me is that neither one will boot from the RH7.0 cd, that one was purchased fron RH when it first came out, so I know that it is a good cd. Both cdroms are configured as slaves, one is primary the other secondary, could be the cable, could be the mobo, I don't know. When I disconnect the primary slave cdrom, My hda, the boot drive, is not seen when booting up, even tho I reset hda as a single drive with the jumper. I am beginning to think that something is wrong on the hardware end, don't know what else to think. The mobo is a MicroStrar, about 5 years old with a 450 PII on it, everything runs fine, no problems, except with those darn cdroms. Thanks for the help, it's appreciated.
