Personal preferences are exactly that - personal. I see no purpose in determining a group preference. It's kind of an oxymoron. Instead, I think it'd be great to have a variety of distros available, and a way to help newbies decide which to try (first), depending on their situation. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing some distros I haven't yet seen. (I bought, downloaded Mepis, and for some reason unknown to me, my disk1 wouldn't boot, so I stuck with Fedora). I imagine that we can cover a number of distros among the group. Count me in for RH/Fedora. One other thought. Is there a statement of purpose of InstallFest somewhere (that I missed)? -- -Eric 'shubes' "There is no such thing as the People; it is a collectivist myth.
