You need to completely unmount the drives on which you would like to install to succeed in the installation. Plop in a Knoppix CD, then follow the instructions on: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/index.xml The Gentoo live CD does the same as a Knoppix, just gives you a kernel off the CD, and points you to the current link to install instructions. The only difference in the instructions is that, with Knoppix, you probably already have a network working. The instructions are very gentle, and take you through every step from fdisk/parted to portage, all of it. I suppose you're doing this for the first time, I'd advise doing a stage 1 install now, it SAVES time while learning. -- --Alexander --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
