I'm quite sure that you would need a fairly high speed connection to get
mythtv downloaded and installed - and then, depending upon the type of
tv connections that you have, it will take quite some time to download a
week's worth of television schedule (I went out to lunch while it got
the Cox digital schedule) - and lastly, it won't be possible to check it
out without video signal of the type you intend to use.

I guess what I'm saying is that the mythtv might be better at home where
the connections are and part of the learning is doing it yourself and I
found it rather easy. Heavily suggest the PVR-250 video card.
