And, I have not had time to investigate how Red Hat does it. For now, I am using sudo within my scripts. Sub-optimal to say the least. I would love to collaborate with you on this. I hope to dig into the RH scripts in the next couple of weeks, so I can share what I learn there. Would you be interested in sharing NetMonkey? Sounds interesting to me. I also frequently move across many networks with my gentoo laptop.
