Wow, I just took a few moments to cruise around the Suse (Novell)
website for some hints about your problem.  Suse seems to be radically
different than any distribution I have ever seen.  I'm afraid I'm not
much help here.

Any SUSE guru's on this list?  Meanwhile, I would suggest that you post
