Does anybody know what would be involved in changing a video card under
Mandrake 9.2 without re-installing the OS? I'm hoping I can configure the
video driver for a generic VGA adapter before removing the old card, install
the new hardware and configure a new driver for it, like you would do on
(the evil OS) Windows. I ran the HardDrake utility and it looks like it
should be possible, but you never know with Linux until you try it or ask
someone. I saw the video card I plan to use in the list of "X-Servers" under
HardDrake. The fact they are listed as X-Servers rather that drivers makes
me wary, however. Am I barking up the wrong tree?
