I very much doubt if you will be able to use it as a raw printer. I have 
an F-30, the F-50's little brother, and under windows it requires a 
weird & special TSR  driver. After I got the printer, I searched the web 
for a Linux driver for it & didn't find one. There may be one somewhere 
now, but you'll have to really look--and you won't find it from Canon.
