Hi, all- I have a ZE4325US H&P pavillion laptop which I want to get fully operational on Linux, including wireless capability. I currently have it loaded with Mandrake 9.2. Because of the fiendishly proprietary design of the laptop, it appears that I will need to install a new, vanilla, non-distro kernel, and patch it with the ACPI patch, the Omnibook patch, possibly a PCMCIA patch, and install a Prism driver to get everything working. All of this is relatively new territory for me, so it will be a learning experience, but possibly not a brief or terribly happy one. Should I use the "oldconfig" or should I just start from scratch? I could use some helpful hints if anyone has such to offer. All constructive suggestions are appreciated! -- Lee Einer Dos Manos Jewelry http://www.dosmanosjewelry.com --------------------------------------------------- PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us To subscribe, unsubscribe, or to change you mail settings: http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
