I was wanting to use Linux but FreeDOS will do.

I'll keep that in mind but Mike just came through with an offer that I'll 
pursue first.

True, very true.  A CF card is not out of the realm of possibility.  In fact, 
it may be ideal for my needs in more ways than one!
