I have been using autofs and automount on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux
WS 3.0 system.  After the service runs I have seen it unmount my local
/home, /tmp, and /boot partitions which seems rather overzealous.  It
appeared to try to unmount /usr and /var but they were in use at the
time.  I also cannot even see the mount point directories for /home,
/tmp, and /boot after autofs runs.

I've used Linux for some time but I am new to autofs.  Does anyone
know to tame it?
