I am trying to get a dvd player/burner to work in my daughter's 
computer. I can play audio CDs through the sound card just fine. But 
when I try to play a dvd I get the errors listed below. My questions:

1. Is ogle the  best dvd viewing software?
2. If so, any idea on how to get the sound to work?
3. If not, what should I use to watch DVDs on Debian running Gnome?
4. What should I use to burn dvds and cdroms? This burner is double layer
