Well, I set up a new /home. I put it on another partition and was wondering how you mount it automatically at boot. I would think you set it in lilo. As an educated guess (educated? HA!!) I am inserting the line 'home=/dev/hda4' into lilo. I had hoped that 'man lilo.conf' would help but I suppose not. I just googled it and found out that /etc/fstab is where it is. Does this look appropriate? /dev/hda2 / ext3 defaults, noatime 1 1 /dev/hda4 /mnt/hda4 ext3 defaults, noatime 1 1 <- home's location /dev/sda1 swap swap sw,pri=1 0 0 proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0622 0 0 # Dynamic entries /dev/hda1 /mnt/hda1 vfat noauto,users,exec,umask=000 0 0 /dev/hda3 /mnt/hda3 ext3 noauto, users, exec 0 0 If you wonder why I answer my own questions it is because people may search for something similar and I want them to be able to find the answer.
