The Corel distribution, though, lives on in the form of Xandros.  A few of the 
top people in the then collapsing Corel Linux department split off and formed 
their own company.  Then, they bought out the rights to Corel Linux to use as 
the basis of their own distro.

I've used Xandros a bit back in the 2.0 days (worked for them for a spell) and 
was really impressed.  It has a debian core and still manages to have the 
most consistent user experience of any Linux distribution I've used.

In the past, they never had a free version.  However, they did include such 
things as Crossover Office integrated into the OS.  It was very slick if you 
wanted to use such things as Word or Quicken or the like.  The complexity and 
use of wine was *almost* completely hidden from the user.  Now, I believe 
they do have a free version but it doesn't (obviously) include Crossover.

Definitely worth checking out for Debian fans.
