Generally any issues with kernel drivers that you would have on any other distribution are the same (ie: on mine I have to put the natsemi driver in the /etc/hotplug.blacklist file because it uses the same IRQ as my PCMCIA slot does). Generally Ubuntu handles itself well on this laptop, and better than most of the other distributions I have tried. YMMV, however.
