I have installed both Ubuntu Warty Warthog (the current stable
release) and Hoary Hedgehog (the current up and coming release) on my
HP ze4315us with few problems. Generally any issues with kernel
drivers that you would have on any other distribution are the same
(ie: on mine I have to put the natsemi driver in the
/etc/hotplug.blacklist file because it uses the same IRQ as my PCMCIA
slot does).

Generally Ubuntu handles itself well on this laptop, and better than
most of the other distributions I have tried. YMMV, however.
