I know several people using the Motorola SurfBoard SB5100 (DOCSIS 1.0,1.1,2.0 compatible), I've not heard of anyone who had problems with it, and it's available at a decent price ($79.99 - #40.00 rebate = $39.99) at Circuit City. One of the nice features of this modem is a standby switch, so it's pretty easy to temporarily disconnect the network when performing system maintenance tasks. ==Joseph++ Jason Hayes - HHC wrote: > I am finalizing my move to Phoenix and am going to have my cable service > hooked up on the 8th. > > I chose the hook it up yourself route to save on the installation costs > (it's my Scottish roots).
