-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 According to the EFF[1], an amendment to an appropriations bill will be introduced in the Senate appropriations committee tomorrow. This amendment will give the FCC power to implement the "broadcast flag" for digital TV broadcasts. Without debate or public announcement. If true, action must be taken now to prevent it's passage. It's too late for letters so phone calls are the next best, fast communication. The EFF also has a free fax service[2] if you want to use it. Perhaps this is a bit off topic for this list. It is, however, about fair-use and freedom of information and freedom of innovation. IMO that makes it something most Linux users (and anyone else) would care about. Check the links. Read up on it if you don't understand. Take the action you deem correct.
