How does one disable the read caching of an IDE hard drive?

On a specific hard drive, say the master on the secondary IDE bus, I want
the read cache of the kernel disabled.  hdparm has an option:

-A
    Enable or disable the IDE read-ahead feature. Usually on by default.

Is this the option I need to mess with?
